CalRecycle - The California Department ofResources Recycling ad Recovery (CalREcycle) designed the tire Derived Product Business Assistance Program (TBAP) to strengthen, expand, and diversify the California tire-derived product market by providing customized services to participating firms. TBAP is part of CalRecycle's waste tire market development program that aims to strengthen statewide tire recycling markets in order to achieve a 90 percent diversion gaol by 2015.
Three D Plastics was in the first CalRecycle TBAP in 2006 and was awarded $175,000 in services as an expanding company and history of scrap tire diversion/use of crumb rubber. The company received services to include product testing for delineator products; profit enhancement opportunities identification of high-potential/low risk inventory reduction; recommendations for plant layout and new equipment for a molding press, molds, tools and the development of our company’s traffic products web site.
